Harold Schoenhaus, DPM, FACFAS is a board-certified foot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a past president and current fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds staff appointments and operating privileges at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital and Chestnut Hill hospital. Dr Schoenhaus' research and clinical interests are in biomechanics, pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery, including joint replacement surgery and pediatric podiatric surgery. Moreover, Dr Schoenhaus is the surgical editor for PRESENT e-Learning Systems, an online medical education and networking resource dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals throughout the world. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and pioneer in the field of lower extremity pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery. Dr Schoenhaus has authored several landmark articles in peer-reviewed journals and books. In 2015 Dr Schoenhaus was the recipient of the Gallery of Success Award from Temple University.

Christopher Bromley, DPM, FACFAS currently practices foot and ankle surgery in Delray Beach, Florida. Dr Bromley's specialty within the group is Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Homeopathy. Dr Bromley has been passionate about nutrition and complementary medicine since entering private practice. He completed his surgical residency in 1992 in Baltimore, MD. His training included such prestigious hospitals as the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. An international and national lecturer of foot and ankle surgery, wound care, and regenerative medicine. When not in the office and on the podium, Dr Bromley is an on-track performance driving instructor and motorcycle track day instructor. Dr Bromley is very proud of his three children Sarah, Kent, and Alexander.

Robert G Frykberg, DPM, MPH is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976. Dr Frykberg went on to complete his residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He served as the President of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society and a Member of the Board of Registration in Podiatry. From 1992 to 1994, he attended the Harvard School of Public Health and graduated with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in quantitative methods. After 21 years of private practice, Dr Frykberg accepted the position as Clinical Dean of the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery prior to moving to Phoenix. After 15 years of dedicated service to our Veterans, Dr Frykberg has decided to retire from his role as Chief of Podiatry at the Phoenix VA Medical Center and as Director of the Phoenix VA Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program. He continues to hold the academic rank of Professor, University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and Adjunct Professor, Midwestern University Program in Podiatric Medicine. His research and writing interests have included all facets of lower extremity disorders, but are specifically focused on diabetic foot ulcers, infections, Charcot foot, and wound care. The author of nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, he has also been the Editor of two textbooks: The High-Risk Foot in Diabetes Mellitus (1991) and the Diabetic Charcot Foot (2010). His expertise in the Diabetic Foot translated into hundreds of speaking invitations nationally and internationally with numerous lecture engagements in China, India, Russia, South America, the UK, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, and across Europe.

Samuel Adegboyega (Dr Sam), DPM earned his doctorate degree at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed extensive residency training in advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at New York Hospital Queens/ Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, an academic affiliate of Weil Medical College of Cornell University. He is currently Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). He is an Associate Professor Department of Medicine and Surgery at NYCPM. He is the Chairman, Division of Medical Science at NYCPM. He is also the Section Chief of podiatry at Harlem Hospital, NY. He is licensed and practices in both states of New Jersey/New York. He enjoys podiatry and offers to his patients’ vast knowledge and excellent clinical skills as it relates to surgery, orthopedics, wound care, primary care, and sports medicine.

Alan Bass, DPM, FACPM, CPC, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and has been in private practice in Manalapan, New Jersey for over 25 years. Dr Bass is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Over his entire career, Dr Bass has been involved with business and practice management, having previously served as Medical Director and Senior Consultant for NEMO Health. Realizing the needs of podiatrists nationwide Dr Bass left NEMO Health at the end 2018 and in January 2019, he began his own consulting firm JARALL Medical Management Consulting, providing practice management services practice valuations, reputation management services and much more. In January 2020, Dr Bass, along with Dr Paul Kesselman formed PARE Coding and Compliance Consulting, a firm dedicated to assisting doctors with coding, auditing, and compliance issues. Dr Bass is also a past-president of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society. He also is active with the American Podiatric Medical Association, currently serving on the Communication committee and having served on the Resolutions committee.

Nicholas J Bevilacqua, DPM, FACFAS

Nicholas J Bevilacqua, DPM, DFACFAS is a board certified, fellowship-trained, foot and ankle surgeon. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Binghamton University and then graduated Magna Cum Laude from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his internship and surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at St Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers in New York. Subsequently, he went on to complete an additional year of fellowship training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and limb salvage at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois. Dr Bevilacqua also completed a fellowship at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia. Dr Bevilacqua is board certified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is trained and certified in Total Ankle Replacement surgery and is one of a few surgeons in Bergen County actively performing the surgery. He was selected as Bergen County's Top Doctors for 2019 by Bergen Magazine. He has written extensively about foot and ankle surgery and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has also written many book chapters on the subject. Dr Bevilacqua continues to lecture at the state and national levels. Dr Bevilacqua is a member of the Surgical Skills Committee for ACFAS. He is also a member of the Medical Education Committee for Holy Name Hospital and Medical Center.​

Maryellen Brucato, DPM, FACFAS

Maryellen Brucato, DPM, FACFAS, is a board certified foot and ankle reconstructive surgeon now serving the surrounding community of Clifton, NJ. After graduating from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Dr Brucato was trained at one of the top surgical residencies at Morristown Medical Center. She lectures across the country on a variety of different topics and has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed journals. She treats all disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower leg in patients of all ages! She specializes in diabetic limb salvage (saving feet!), pediatrics, and reconstructive surgery. Even though Dr Brucato is a leader in her field, her best attribute is her warm and caring bedside manner.

Dawn Buratti, DPM, MS

Dawn Buratti, DPM, MS is a board certified podiatric physician who has been practicing in the San Fernando Valley for 19 years. She graduated with honors from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1997, having completed internships in both Northern and Southern California, including San Francisco General Hospital and Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital. Her podiatric medical school awarded her the prestigious Presidential Scholarship. At graduation, she received additional honors, including the Scepter Award and ProLab Scholarship (awarded by her own classmates as “the person who contributed most to their education”). Dr Buratti has a Master’s Degree in Medical Education and a Doctorate Degree in Podiatric Medicine. She completed a post graduate two-year surgical residency (PSR-24) with training not only in podiatric surgery, but also general surgery, orthopedic surgery and plastics/reconstructive surgery. Her surgical residency program was integrated with a Center for Wound Care, where she received additional training in vascular surgery, diabetic wound care and limb salvage. Dr Buratti is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is also certified in Wound Care by the Council for Medical Education & Testing. She is an active member of the California Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr Buratti is an inventor who has earned four United States Patents, issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, for an innovative medical device and procedure, and she has several U.S. and Foreign patents pending. She is co-inventor of the innovative FDA approved FastForward Bunion Correction Procedure as well as the patent pending Hallux Varus Correction Procedure.

Michelle Butterworth, DPM, FACFAS received her BS in chemistry from St. Joseph’s University and her DPM from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed a four-year surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health Systems/Presbyterian Medical Center, in Philadelphia. She is currently employed by Williamsburg Regional Hospital, in Kingstree, South Carolina, where she is also Chief of the Medical Staff. She is a Past President of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and remains active in the College lecturing, reviewing Journal articles, and is currently a member of the Professional Relations Committee. She is involved with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and has served on the Communications Committee, Online Study Guide Committee, Credential Committee, Cognitive Exam Committee, and Bylaws task force. She is currently a member of the Exam Blueprint Task Force. She is a Past President of the South Carolina Podiatric Medical Association and is the Chairman of the SC annual conference. She was active on the Legislative Committee where SC just gained ankle privileges. Dr Butterworth lectures nationally and has authored and edited manuscripts and textbooks. She is a member of the Podiatry Institute, currently residing as Treasurer, a member of the PICA Claims Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Osteosynthesis.

Jeffrey Cusack, DPM, DABPM is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics & Pediatrics, New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She is currently practicing at Riverside University Health Systems in southern California. She is Board Qualified by ABFAS and is wound care certified. Dr Garoufalis is a past president of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, a Past President of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and is the Immediate Past President of the International Federation of Podiatrists. Matrona Giakoumis, DPM is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in complex pediatric and adult foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, Charcot reconstruction and limb salvage. A native of New York, Dr Giakoumis obtained her undergraduate degree from Fordham University and completed her podiatric medical education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in NY. She underwent three years of extensive training in foot and ankle reconstruction in Atlanta, Georgia where she served as chief resident. She received additional training in pediatric and adult reconstructive surgery in the Emory healthcare system in Atlanta, Georgia where she completed her fellowship. Dr Giakoumis works hard to tailor each individual's treatment and care to his or her specific needs, by practicing evidence based medicine. This helps ensure her patients get the most current and valuable treatments available. She has published several articles and papers, and is a faculty member and lecturer for the Podiatry Institute, an internationally recognized teaching foundation for reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Dr Giakoumis also has a special interest in medical mission work and has worked overseas with Healing the Children (HTC).

Alton R. Johnson Jr, DPM, FACPM, FASPS, CWSP is currently the Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Univeristy of Michigan Medical School. He is also the Director of Social Media Communications and Attending Physician, Podiatric Limb Preservation, Wound Care and Diabetes Related Lower Extremity Communications Fellowship. Dr Alton is an Attending Physician, Family Medicine Residency Program, Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes-Podiatry (MEND) at Michigan Medicine-University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Barry University. In 2012, he attended the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. While at KSUCPM, he was a recipient of the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, KSUCPM MINT Scholarship, APMA National Scholarship, and North Central Academy of Podiatric Medicine Scholarship. Dr Johnson also served as the face of KSUCPM serving as a Student Ambassador, Academic Council Student Representative and serving as the White Coat Ceremony's Gonfalon Carrier. In addition, as a podiatric medical student, Dr Johnson published several research posters focused on geriatric fall secondary to foot deformities. After graduating from podiatric medical school in 2016, Dr Johnson went on to complete a three-year Podiatric Medicine Surgery Residency (PMSR+RRA) at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, FL. While at AHMC, Dr Johnson served as chief resident in his third year. Dr Johnson was part of AHMC's back-to-back to back ResEdSummit Midwest Residency Rumble 1st Place championship teams (2016, 2017, 2018). Dr Johnson has also managed to present multiple research projects at The Future of Regenerative Medicine Congress, ResEd Summit Midwest Conferences, and Symposium of Advanced Wound Care. During his third year of residency, Dr Johnson was able to publish a peer-reviewed journal article on regenerative medicine. His research emphasis has been focused on regenerative medicine, diabetic limb salvage techniques, and rare dermatological and bone pathologies.

Warren S Joseph, DPM, FIDSA is a specialist in the treatment of lower extremity infectious diseases. He received his podiatric degree, magna cum laude, from W.M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Dr Joseph completed his postgraduate training in podiatric medicine/surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Hahnemann University School of Medicine, both in Philadelphia. He is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. Dr Joseph is a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and sits on the IDSA Diabetic Foot Infection Guidelines Committee. He is also certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and currently serves as Editor of the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr Joseph lectures extensively and his presentations have focused on the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections of the lower extremity. He has authored close to 100 publications in the field of lower extremity infections and is the author of the Handbook of Lower Extremity Infections, now in its third edition.

Paul J Kim, DPM, MS, FACFAS, is the Medical Director of the Wound Program at William P Clements Jr University Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He is also a Professor in the Departments of Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern. Dr Kim received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in psychology and biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1995. He earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2002, receiving multiple honors. He then completed a surgical foot and ankle residency program in 2005 at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. Dr Kim also received a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Research Management from Arizona State University in 2012. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr Kim has received intramural and extramural research grants in wound care, diabetic limb salvage, and tendon pathology. He has chaired multiple committees related to research, evidence-based medicine, and the diabetic limb for national and international organizations. He is a national and international speaker and has authored over 125 basic science, clinical manuscripts, and book chapters on foot and ankle medicine and surgery topics, with a specific interest in the diabetic limb.

Ralph J Napolitano, Jr, DPM, CWSP, FACFAS is a double board-certified podiatrist and wound care specialist physician specializing in medicine, surgery and wound care of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. He is the Director of Wound Care and Healing with OrthoNeuro, a multispecialty medical practice based in central Ohio. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Specialty Medicine at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Dr Napolitano is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Wound Management. He was the first podiatrist in the state of Ohio to earn the board certification Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP). He remains active publishing and lecturing locally and nationally on wound care and healing. In 2018, Dr Napolitano was the only podiatrist in the world to have an article accepted into the Cureus Journal of Medical Science’s publishing competition on negative pressure wound therapy with instillation and dwell utilizing novel dressings. In 2019, during a limited commercial release, he was the first clinician in North America to trial DERMATAC™, a new single-use, proprietary silicone acrylic hybrid drape that is used as an accessory to NPWT systems. When not practicing medicine, Dr Napolitano enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. His broad interests include music, golf, fishing, and mountain biking. Of particular interest is jazz music. His main instrument is the trumpet. Over the years he has studied, performed, and recorded with members of The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, The Columbus Jazz Orchestra, and the Saturday Night Live Band.

Joseph Park, DPM

Joseph Park, DPM, FACFAS is an Assistant Professor of Podiatric Medicine, Surgery, and Biomechanics at the WesternU College of Podiatric Medicine. He is also an Attending Physician at Riverside University Health System, a major teaching hospital for UC Riverside and Loma Linda University, and is active in clinical education for fellows, residents, and medical students. Dr Park received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California while double-majoring in Biological Sciences and East Asian Languages and Cultures. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his PMSR/RRA residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center. Dr Park then completed the prestigious surgical fellowship at The Southeast Permanente Medical Group with a focus on lower extremity trauma and reconstruction. During the years 2015 to the present, in addition to being a lower extremity reconstructive surgeon, he is consulting in orthopedics and having worked with several tissue banks in time period as CSO, CMO and president. From 1981 to 2014, Dr Werber practiced as a Board-Certified reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon in Rhode Island and then in Arizona, the CEO of several medical practices 1981 until 2017. In 2012, Dr Werber founded and, from 2012 to 2015, served as the President of Amnio Technology LLC, creating the company as well as developing the processing and clinical science related to utilizing placental tissue in orthopedic medicine. Marie Williams, DPM, DABPS, DHLS, is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr Williams was the first clinical dean at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and is currently an Adjunct Professor for the school. Dr Williams has been in private practice since 1984. She is currently the Chairman of the Department of Podiatry at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. She has been involved in residency training since 1986 and a Program Director in Podiatric Surgery and Medicine since 1988. Dr Williams is a speaker in the field of foot and ankle surgery as well as limb salvage. She has published several articles on the healing of complex wounds and limb salvage, while also authoring a chapter: Bone Infections in "Foot and Ankle Radiology". In August 2014, Dr Williams was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts along with her teammates from Immaculata College. Their team, the Mighty Macs, captured three consecutive Championships. They were considered trailblazers for women sports, and in the 70s they help bring about Title 9 and equality for women in sports. In June 2015 they received the trailblazer award in the women’s basketball hall of fame. Dr Williams was recently requested to be a Keynote Speaker for Immaculata University and received the Doctor of Humane Letters for her humanitarian efforts in May 2018.
