Harold Schoenhaus, DPM is a board-certified foot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a past president and current fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds staff appointments and operating privileges at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital and Chestnut Hill hospital. Dr Schoenhaus' research and clinical interests are in biomechanics, pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery, including joint replacement surgery and pediatric podiatric surgery. Moreover, Dr Schoenhaus is the surgical editor for PRESENT e-Learning Systems, an online medical education and networking resource dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals throughout the world. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and pioneer in the field of lower extremity pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery. Dr Schoenhaus has authored several landmark articles in peer-reviewed journals and books. In 2015 Dr Schoenhaus was the recipient of the Gallery of Success Award from the Temple University.

Dr Bromley is the managing partner of a large multi-specialty group in upstate NY. Dr Bromley specialty within the group is Surgery, Sports Medicine and Homeopathy. Dr Bromley has been passionate about nutrition and complementary medicine since entering private practice. He completed his surgical residency in 1992 in Baltimore, MD. His training included such prestigious hospitals as the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. Robert G Frykberg, DPM, MPH is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976. Dr Frykberg went on to complete his residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He served as the President of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society and a Member of the Board of Registration in Podiatry. From 1992 to 1994, he attended the Harvard School of Public Health and graduated with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in quantitative methods. After 21 years of private practice, Dr Frykberg accepted the position as Clinical Dean of the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery prior to moving to Phoenix. After 15 years of dedicated service to our Veterans, Dr Frykberg has decided to retire from his role as Chief of Podiatry at the Phoenix VA Medical Center and as Director of the Phoenix VA Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program. He continues to hold the academic rank of Professor, University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and Adjunct Professor, Midwestern University Program in Podiatric Medicine. His research and writing interests have included all facets of lower extremity disorders, but are specifically focused on diabetic foot ulcers, infections, Charcot foot, and wound care. The author of nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, he has also been the Editor of two textbooks: The High Risk Foot in Diabetes Mellitus (1991) and the Diabetic Charcot Foot (2010). His expertise in the Diabetic Foot translated into hundreds of speaking invitations nationally and internationally with numerous lecture engagements in China, India, Russia, South America, the UK, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, and across Europe.

Windy Cole, DPM is an Adjunct Professor and Director of Wound Care Research at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Dr Cole completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Cincinnati, and her podiatry degree with honors from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed her surgical residency training at University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr Cole is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is an active member of the APMA, OPMA, and AAWC. Dr Cole has been in practice in Northeastern Ohio for 17 years. Her interest is in limb salvage and wound care, and she currently serves as Director of Wound Care Services for Cleveland Regency Hospitals and is the Medical Director at University Hospitals Ahuja Wound Care Center. Dr Cole has published on wound care modalities and speaks nationally and internationally on limb preservation and wound care.

Stanley Kalish, DPM is the Founder of the Superbones Conferences. He is a well-known author, and inventor of the TLS drain, the Kalish Osteotomy for Hallux Valgus correction. She completed her surgical residency training at what is now Jackson North Medical Center, Miami, Fl where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr Kanhai has served as graduate and undergraduate lecturer for Barry University, and St. Petersburg College, respectively. Prof Venu Kavarthapu, FRCS (Tri&Orth), is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interest in lower limb orthopaedics. He was appointed as a Consultant at King’s in 2006. He qualified at the AP University of Health Sciences in India, before completing his basic surgical and specialist registrar rotation training in the South East Thames Region. His sub-speciality training included a Minimally Invasive Hip Surgery Fellowship in Los Angeles and a Foot and Ankle Fellowship in London. Prof Kavarthapu was the orthopaedic member of the King's Diabetic Foot Team, which in 2007 won a prestigious Hospital Doctor Award. Prof Kavarthapu lectures at national and international conferences on diabetic foot surgery, trauma, hip arthroscopy, and primary and revision hip arthroplasty. He is also actively involved in research and has published several scientific articles on Trauma and Orthopaedics. Prof Kavarthapu’s other roles include Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, lead clinician for the Orthopaedic department, and Orthopaedic Training Programme Director for SE London. He has been appointed Associate Professor at Odense University Hospital and University of Southern Denmark. He is also chairs the British Indian Clinical and Academic Partnership.

He sustained lifelong learning taking post graduate courses at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and is currently completing a Strategic Healthcare Leadership program at Cornell. Dr Klein is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and American Board of Wound Management. Dr Klein practices wound care and limb preservation full time. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine (USCSOM) – Greenville, and serves as the Chair, Division of Wound Care for Prisma Health Systems - Upstate. He has over 27 years of experience treating difficult to heal wounds. Dr Klein demonstrates a strong passion and commitment to wound care, hard to heal wounds of the foot and ankle, and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Dr. Klein has presented multiple scientific abstracts and posters and serves as a peer Reviewer on the Editorial Staff of Wounds: A Compendium of Clinical Research and Practice, as well as appearing on national television more than once. In his spare time, he volunteers for the United State Naval Academy counseling and mentoring USNA Candidates while educating academic advisors in USNA career opportunities.

Tracy R Smith, PhD, RD, LD, is National Clinical Liaison at Abbott Nutrition. She has presented numerous domestic and international continuing education programs and educational lectures related to the role of nutrition in the changing healthcare environment, and clinical topics related to muscle health, malnutrition, and health outcomes. Robert Snyder, DPM, MSc, MBA, CWSP, FFPM RCPS (Glasg) is Dean, Scool of Podiatric Medicine, Professor and Director of Clinical Research and Director, Fellowship Program in Wound Care and Research at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. He has created and implemented the first post residency Wound Management and Research Fellowship for podiatric medical schools. He is certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is also a board certified wound specialist. Dr Snyder is past-president of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and past-president of the American Board of Wound Management, a certifying body for wound care specialists. In addition to his doctorate, he holds an MSc in Wound Healing and Tissue Science from Cardiff University College of Medicine. His expertise at Cardiff, Wales, was further acknowledged with an appointment as Honorary Senior Lecturer. To constantly expand his knowledge and stay current in all aspects of healthcare, he is completing an MBA in Health Management. Dr Snyder is a key opinion leader and sought after speaker, lecturing extensively throughout the United States and abroad. Dr Snyder has published several book chapters and over 165 papers in peer reviewed and trade journals on wound care and was the recipient of the Dr Robert Warriner Memorial Award for excellence in wound management. Dr Snyder serves on the editorial advisory boards of Ostomy Wound Management, Section Editor for Wounds and as a periodic reviewer for the Lancet and NEJM. He has been a Principal Investigator on more than 50 randomized controlled trials for innovative wound healing modalities and products. In 2018, Dr Snyder was inducted into the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow as Faculty Fellow in Podiatric Medicine.

After 36 years, Jim retired from active orthopaedic surgery practice to focus on building a medical device company. While in practice, Jim specialized in total joint replacement and traumatology. He was an academic orthopedist for several years, publishing 100 peer reviewed manuscripts, 4 textbooks and 35 textbook chapters. For the past 10 years, Jim participated in several medical startups, including Traumis, LLC, Blue Ortho SAS, Surgivisio SAS, and Explorer Surgical, Inc, as an early investor and consultant. Jim's most recent efforts have exploited work regarding surgical suction/irrigation systems, of which several concepts have been patented. Jim holds an MD with Honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and received the Gold Cord with his MBA from the University of Illinois College of Business.
Colin Traynor, DPM
Colin Traynor, DPM graduated from The Pennsylvania State University and received his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from The California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University. He then completed his surgical residency at St Mary’s Medical Center. Dr Traynor is trained in foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, elective surgery and wound care. In addition to private practice, he remains involved in student and resident education. Dr Traynor is a clinical instructor for The California School of Podiatric Medicine and clerkship director of the St Mary’s Podiatric Surgery Residency Program. Dr Traynor has lectured on foot and ankle wound care and amputation prevention, is published in international orthopedic and podiatric surgical textbooks and journals on conservative and surgical management of the foot and ankle.
Terry Treadwell, MD, FACSMedical Director

Terry Treadwell, MD, FACS received his medical education at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He continued his training doing his general and vascular surgical residencies at Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. He practiced vascular and general surgery in Montgomery, Alabama. In October, 1998, Dr Treadwell founded The Institute for Advanced Wound Care at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. He served as Medical Director of the center and treated wound patients on a full-time basis providing the best possible care to this seemingly forgotten group of patients. In February, 2006, the Institute for Advanced Wound Care moved to Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery. Dr Treadwell serves as the Medical Director of the Institute. He has been involved with numerous educational and research initiatives and directs wound care educational programs at his wound center to help educate physicians and other medical personnel in the current therapy of acute and chronic wounds. Dr Treadwell has shared his experience in the treatment of chronic wounds through lectures and presentations and publications. Wound care practitioners from around the world have attended preceptorships at the Institute for Advanced Wound Care. He has assisted in the establishment of wound treatment centers in Ghana, Africa, and Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Dr Treadwell is the Clinical Editor of Wounds magazine and is a member of the World Association of Medical Editors. He is a member of the Wound Healing Society and the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. He has served two terms as the Physician Member of the AAWC Board of Directors. He has served as the President of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and is currently the Past-President of the organization. He is also serving on the World Health Organization Committee and the World Alliance for Wound and Lymphedema Care to develop wound education and treatment guidelines for treatment of acute and chronic wounds in underdeveloped countries of the world. He is the current Vice-President of the World Alliance for Wound and Lymphedema Care Board of Directors and the President-Elect.

Michael Troiano, DPM is a 2004 graduate Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed residency at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is in private practice at the Center for Foot and Ankle Disorders in Philadelphia. He is Adjunct Clinical Professor at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in the Department of Surgery, he teaches Biomechanics, and MRI reading. Dr Troiano is a board certified in foot, rear foot, and reconstructive ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds staff and teaching appointments at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital, Temple University Hospital, Penn Wound Care Center, Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Abington Memorial Hospital and the Foot and Ankle Specialty Center. He takes foot and ankle trauma call at Temple University Hospital and Penn- Presbyterian Medical Center, is a director of the Penn Wound Care Center and is a nationally and internationally recognized lecturer. He has authored and co-authored several journals, articles, and chapters published in various peer reviewed journals and books.

Marie Williams, DPM, DHL is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr Williams was the first clinical dean at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and is currently an Adjunct Professor for the school. Dr Williams has been in private practice since 1984. She is currently the Chairman of the Department of Podiatry at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. She has been involved in residency training since 1986 and a Program Director in Podiatric Surgery and Medicine since 1988. Dr Williams is a speaker in the field of foot and ankle surgery as well as limb salvage. She has published several articles on the healing of complex wounds and limb salvage, while also authoring a chapter: Bone Infections in "Foot and Ankle Radiology". In August 2014, Dr Williams was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts along with her teammates from Immaculata College. Their team, the Mighty Macs, captured three consecutive Championships. They were considered trailblazers for women sports, and in the 70s they help bring about Title 9 and equality for women in sports. In June 2015 they received the trailblazer award in the women’s basketball hall of fame. Dr Williams was recently requested to be a Keynote Speaker for Immaculata University and received the Doctor of Humane Letters for her humanitarian efforts in May 2018.

Dr Zimmerman is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Institute for Peripheral Nerve Surgery, and the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation. .
