Harold Schoenhaus, DPM, FACFAS is a board-certified foot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a past president and current fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds staff appointments and operating privileges at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital and Chestnut Hill hospital. Dr Schoenhaus' research and clinical interests are in biomechanics, pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery, including joint replacement surgery and pediatric podiatric surgery. Moreover, Dr Schoenhaus is the surgical editor for PRESENT e-Learning Systems, an online medical education and networking resource dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals throughout the world. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and pioneer in the field of lower extremity pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery. Dr Schoenhaus has authored several landmark articles in peer-reviewed journals and books. In 2015 Dr Schoenhaus was the recipient of the Gallery of Success Award from Temple University.

Robert G Frykberg, DPM, MPH is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976. Dr Frykberg went on to complete his residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He served as the President of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society and a Member of the Board of Registration in Podiatry. From 1992 to 1994, he attended the Harvard School of Public Health and graduated with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in quantitative methods. After 21 years of private practice, Dr Frykberg accepted the position as Clinical Dean of the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery prior to moving to Phoenix. After 15 years of dedicated service to our Veterans, Dr Frykberg has decided to retire from his role as Chief of Podiatry at the Phoenix VA Medical Center and as Director of the Phoenix VA Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program. He continues to hold the academic rank of Professor, University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and Adjunct Professor, Midwestern University Program in Podiatric Medicine. His research and writing interests have included all facets of lower extremity disorders, but are specifically focused on diabetic foot ulcers, infections, Charcot foot, and wound care. The author of nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, he has also been the Editor of two textbooks: The High-Risk Foot in Diabetes Mellitus (1991) and the Diabetic Charcot Foot (2010). His expertise in the Diabetic Foot translated into hundreds of speaking invitations nationally and internationally with numerous lecture engagements in China, India, Russia, South America, the UK, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, and across Europe.

Stanley Kalish, DPM is the Founder of the Superbones Conferences. He is a well-known author, and inventor of the TLS drain, the Kalish Osteotomy for Hallux Valgus correction. Dr Kalish is the winner of the 2003 Podiatry Management Lifetime Achievement Award. He has three children and five grandchildren. Dr Kalish practices in Atlanta, Georgia, and Nassau, Bahamas where he is a surgical consultant. He is a consultant to several U.S. orthopedic and pharmaceutical companies.

Frank P Arena, DPM


Frank P Arena, DPM is the Medical Director at The Wound Center at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. He is also the Director, Department of Podiatry at Clara Maass Medical Center. Dr Arena graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1981. He is licensed to practice by the state board in New Jersey and is board certified in foot surgery by The American Board of Podiatric Medicine; foot & ankle orthopedics & Medicine; as well as being board certified in wound care of the American Professional Wound Care Association.

Steven A Bernstein, DPM

Steven A Bernstein, DPM graduated from PCPM Temple Podiatry School in 1989. He went on to do his residency at Golden Glades Regional Medical Center in Miami, Florida. In 1991, Dr Bernstein joined an orthopedic group in Aventura, Florida specializing in trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Currently, Dr Bernstein is in a solo practice located in Fort Lee, New Jersey which specializes in foot and ankle trauma and revisional surgery. Dr Bernstein is Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery and heads up the podiatric surgery department at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, New Jersey. Dr Bernstein has a special interest through the years in how bones heal and looking for ways to increase and improve bone healing, particularly with biologics and hardware.

Nicholas J Bevilacqua, DPM, FACFAS

Nicholas J Bevilacqua, DPM, DFACFAS is a board certified, fellowship-trained, foot and ankle surgeon. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Binghamton University and then graduated Magna Cum Laude from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his internship and surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at St Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers in New York. Subsequently, he went on to complete an additional year of fellowship training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and limb salvage at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois. Dr Bevilacqua also completed a fellowship at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia. Dr Bevilacqua is board certified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is trained and certified in Total Ankle Replacement surgery and is one of a few surgeons in Bergen County actively performing the surgery. He was selected as Bergen County's Top Doctors for 2019 by Bergen Magazine. He has written extensively about foot and ankle surgery and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has also written many book chapters on the subject. Dr Bevilacqua continues to lecture at the state and national levels. Dr Bevilacqua is a member of the Surgical Skills Committee for ACFAS. He is also a member of the Medical Education Committee for Holy Name Hospital and Medical Center.​

Christopher K Bromley, DPM, FACFAS

Christopher Bromley, DPM, FACFAS currently practices foot and ankle surgery in Delray Beach, Florida. Dr Bromley's specialty within the group is Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Homeopathy. Dr Bromley has been passionate about nutrition and complementary medicine since entering private practice. He completed his surgical residency in 1992 in Baltimore, MD. His training included such prestigious hospitals as the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. An international and national lecturer of foot and ankle surgery, wound care, and regenerative medicine. When not in the office and on the podium, Dr Bromley is an on-track performance driving instructor and motorcycle track day instructor. Dr Bromley is very proud of his three children Sarah, Kent, and Alexander.

Julia Colliflower, MHA, BSN, RN, CWON, received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia in 1993. She obtained her wound/ostomy certification from the webWOC Nursing Education Program and has been a certified wound and ostomy nurse since 2009. Julia received a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration in 2012 from Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia Julia’s nursing experience spans 26 years while working in acute care, skilled nursing and most recently in the medical device field. Julia is currently a Clinical Wound Specialist for the 3M U.S. Medical Solutions Division, providing clinical support to sales staff and providing product training and continuing education programs to customers in various acute and post-acute clinical settings. Julia is currently the board secretary for the Mideast Region Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses’ Society chapter. Julia resides in Huntington, WV.

Jeffrey Cusack, DPM, DABPM is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics & Pediatrics, New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He received his BS degree in Chemistry at the University of Miami, Florida. Dr Cusack is passionate about biomechanics; when he sees a foot problem; whether callus or bunion or something else; he thinks about what the cause could be from a biomechanical point of view. Why is the callus or bunion located where it is? The mechanics of the foot determine the location.

Anthony R Iorio, DPM, MPH, CPed, FACFAS, FACFAOM, FACWCA graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1981 and completed a two-year surgical residency through the Veterans Administration Medical Centers in New York and Connecticut. Upon completing his residency programs in1983, he entered private practice in Fairfield County, CT. During which time he attended the New York College of Medicine and obtained his master’s in public health in 2003, in Health Care and Policy. He served as President of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association from 2005-2007 after serving 10 years on their Board. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery and as well as Podiatric Orthopedics and Medicine. Dr Iorio is also a Fellow in the American Professional Wound Care Association. Currently, Dr Iorio serves as a Professor of Medicine, Chairman of Community Medicine, and Dean of Continuing Education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine since 2004. He continues to practice in his academic role as co -chairman, Dept of Surgery, in Podiatric Wound Care at the Metropolitan Hospital Center in Manhattan, NY and has ventured into introducing Podiatry into an ADA-approved endocrinology office in Manhattan where he is the Director of Wound Care and Podiatry. He is an educator, administrator and clinician and is involved in several research projects in Wound Care and Diabetes. He serves on several Not-for-Profit Boards and is an International Lecturer to Mexico, Vietnam, and India. Dr Iorio is a Key Opinion Leader and consultant to several companies. He currently holds some patents in wound care. He is active in many social areas of health care promotions and is frequently found on missions in area of need in rural India.

She serves as faculty in an International MSK Fellowship with special interest in coaching expert level radiologists in foot and ankle imaging. She is a leader in podiatric radiology, developing curricula for academic programs with a broad experience from delivering grand rounds to publishing articles and book chapters on the shoulder, knee, and ankle . In addition to her active Radiologist practice, her productive career currently includes educating and coaching healers while providing resources to Help Heal our Healers within the Current Crisis of Physician Burnout. With her Cofounding of GrooveMDs.com, her team is active in raising awareness to empower physicians. Additionally, she is currently serving on the American College of Radiology Arts Task Force dedicated to physician wellness, highlighting Art as a source of our Physician Wellness. Warren S Joseph, DPM, FIDSA is a specialist in the treatment of lower extremity infectious diseases. He received his podiatric degree, magna cum laude, from W.M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Dr Joseph completed his postgraduate training in podiatric medicine/surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Hahnemann University School of Medicine, both in Philadelphia. He is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. Dr Joseph is a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and sits on the IDSA Diabetic Foot Infection Guidelines Committee. He is also certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and currently serves as Editor of the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr Joseph lectures extensively and his presentations have focused on the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections of the lower extremity. He has authored close to 100 publications in the field of lower extremity infections and is the author of the Handbook of Lower Extremity Infections, now in its third edition.

Michael J Lacqua MD, MBA serves as the Chief of the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) in Staten Island, New York and as an Adjunct Instructor, Hansjorg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. For the past 20 years, he has been the Medical Director for the Center for Wound Healing at RUMC, also serving as their Chief Supervising Hyperbaric Physician. He founded Healing Hands Abroad in 2011, a non-profit organization of healthcare professionals who travel to Central and South America providing specialty surgical care, including wound care.

Brian Loder, DPM, CWS is considered by some, as one of the top Podiatric Surgeons in Michigan. He completed his surgical training at St John's Hospital in 1995 and has been board certified in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery for over 20 years. He served as Chief of Staff at Henry Ford Hospital for six years and continues to be involved in multiple hospital committees to ensure high-quality patient care for our hospital's patients. In addition to Chief of Staff, he was the founder of the Podiatric Surgical Training Program at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and continues to be the residency director. Dr Loder is also the Medical Director of the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital 'Wound Care Center' and treats patients there two days per week. Dr Brian Loder continues to be a leader in education, traveling around the United States, lecturing to Physicians on Podiatric Surgical Principle. Andrew B Peacock, DPM, AACFAS, is board certified in foot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a current associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He specializes in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including complex foot and ankle reconstruction including arthroscopy. His accolades involve complex deformities and trauma to the foot and ankle in both pediatrics and adults. He is a proud alumnus of Clemson University in South Carolina where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He completed his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr Peacock then went on to complete a four-year reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency at The University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed his fellowship with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in Trauma, arthroscopy, rearfoot and ankle reconstruction including total ankle replacement at the Pennsylvania Intensive Lower Extremity Fellowship. Dr Peacock, DPM has a special interest in academic medicine and surgery. He teaches at his alma mater Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and enjoys lecturing on regional, national, and international levels. He serves as a peer reviewer for The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr Peacock holds staff privileges and operating appointments at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital, Aria Jefferson Northeast Health System, and Tower Health System where he trains resident physicians. Lee C Rogers, DPM, FFPM RCPS (Glas) is on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He helped the ABPM found the Certificate of Added Qualification in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care in 2017. He is a Fellow Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr Rogers has authored over 150 peer reviewed manuscripts or book chapters and focuses on creating systems of excellence for diabetic foot care and limb salvage.

Wenjay Sung, DPM, FACFAS, practices in the Greater Los Angeles, Pasadena, Arcada, CA area.. He completed his advanced surgical fellowship at the ACFAS recognized Weil Foot-Ankle and Orthopedic Institute (2011, Chicago, IL) after graduating as chief resident from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (2010). He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has been heavily involved in Special Olympics International Healthy Athletes and served as an international Clinical Director during the World Summer Games in Shanghai, China (2007) and Los Angeles (2015). Currently, he serves on the board of the Convalescent Aid Society (Pasadena, CA), a non-profit that provides free medical equipment for those in need and the Miss Asian North American Organization. More recently, due to the unexpected passing of his youngest brother David Wen Sung, his family is establishing a scholarship fund and not-for profit organization that aims to build awareness and acceptance for mental health issues in Asian American communities.

Michael Troiano, DPM, FACFAS is a 2004 graduate Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed residency at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is in private practice at the Center for Foot and Ankle Disorders in Philadelphia. He is Adjunct Clinical Professor at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in the Department of Surgery, he teaches Biomechanics, and MRI reading. Dr Troiano is a board certified in foot, rear foot, and reconstructive ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Tracey Vlahovic, DPM, FFPM, RCPS (Glasg), is a Clinical Professor, Department of Medicine at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and author of the book: Lower Extremity Skin Diseases: A Photographic Guide. She is the first podiatrist to complete a fellowship in dermatology and teaches dermatology to the third year students. She participates in clinical trials and has won numerous teaching awards.
